Topic: Gambling – It’s Not Just a Game

Presenter Bios:

Vickie Lewis is currently the Addiction Specialist in the Central Region for Dominion Diagnostics providing addiction treatment centers with a drug monitoring/testing system.  She graduated from Spoon River College with an Associates of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education then pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice at Sangamon State University with graduate studies in Child, family and Community Services from the University of Illinois at Springfield. She is a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and other Drug Counselor as well as a Compulsive Gambling Counselor and is credentialed as a provider to dually diagnosed clients.

Peter Bradley currently serves as the Corporate Services Clinician for Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery. Peter has been in the field of behavioral health for nearly 20 years. He has a Master of Arts in Community Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Peter is a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds several credentials with the Illinois Certification Board including: Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and other Drug Counselor (CRADC); MISA 2; and Problem Compulsive Gambler Counselor (PCGC).

Peter has a great understanding of theoretical models of addiction treatment, the 12-Step Philosophy, spirituality, and the utilization of humor. All have served him and his clients well in his clinical career as an addiction counselor, clinical supervisor, workshop speaker, consultant and advocate for people seeking treatment and recovery.
